We went to Austin to visit some friends and go to the 3rd birthday of their little girl Addison. All of the big kids were playing on the slip and slide. Mallory wanted down so badly so we rolled up her pants, took off her top and let her play. She stood on the side and played in the water that sprays on the slip n slide. She thought it was so much fun. She also discovered balloons. She Ooooh and Awww'd every time we saw them so we brought some home and she had a blast.
We had our 9 month appointment this past week. I cant believe she is really 9 months already! She weighs 17 lbs 4 oz is in the 23 percentile for her weight, and is 26.5 inches long in the 18th percentile for length. The doctor was really pleased with her skin and gave us the go ahead for soy and dairy. We had some yogurt last night and it went over very well. The pediatrician is hoping that her skin will only have small reactions and we will be on the right path for milk at a year. Cross your fingers because this formula is stinky and expensive :) We also got the go ahead to try table food. I don't think she is really ready but we are trying a little of everything to see if she will eat it. The only thing we have had success with is chocolate chip cookies. Go figure. Yep she is definitely my baby! We will keep trying though and hope we have better luck with things other than chocolate.
