We are on Vacation

Hello Mexico

Our Tub on Vacation!

2 weeks ago we went to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico to see Meredith and Matt get married and participate in the festivities. We spent a week in Mexico on the beach (and at the pool) and had a wonderful time with Mark's family and their friends.We met some great people and got to relax. It was the first time in a year that we did not have to think about doing anything. Not to mention the wedding was a blast and Meredith looked gorgeous! Mallory stayed with my parents for the whole week and we were so grateful to them. My mom said she took a nap everyday with Mallory because she wore them out. She also had a wonderful time with them. So much so that she almost didn't want to stay with us that first night back.

When we got back we had a short work week and then Mallory's Mia & Paddy, Matt, Mere, Sydney, My Mema & Papa all came in town to celebrate a grand occasion. Mallory's Birthday!!! We spent all day Saturday at the house where she opened presents, played around, had cake (well she didn't have cake but she played in the cake), played in the blow up pool, and had a blast with friends and family. On Monday her actual birthday we went to my parents house where she got another cake with a number 1 sparkler candle for our little firecracker!

We cannot believe how quickly a year seemed to go past in retrospect. We went from having our tiny little baby to having a happy silly toddler who delights our days and nights. There are no words to describe how we feel about our little one. She is a true delight to everyone she meets and we are truly blessed to have such a sweet, happy 1 year old!

A little about Mallory at 1 year:

She weighs 18 lbs 4 oz, and is in the 10% of her weight
She is 28.3 inches long and is in the 32% of height
She eats only table food (this is a discussion for another time because it is a battle to get her to eat)
She is no longer on formula and drinks straight milk.
She only drinks out of a sippy cup, bottle gone!
She not only walks but runs.
She dances by shaking her arms up and down and sometimes spins in circles
She can say "Mama" "Dada" "Uh-Oh" "Hi" "Bye" "Pop Pop" "Maggie" "Bird" "Ball" " Book" "Baby" "Ta" (This is short for thank you) "Tickle Tickle Tickle"
She sleeps with her tagee (and carries it around).
She is into stuffed animals and loves hugging them.
She will give kisses,hugs, and blow kisses with her hand.
She claps her hands and when you say yeah or play paddy cake.
She throws her hands in the air when she is "all done"
She loves the pool and the water.
She loves to read books before bath time.
She climbs in and out of little chairs.

She is truly a sweet happy silly baby (sorry I mean toddler). We are truly blessed.
