We cant believe it but she is officially 1 month old. She has changed so much in the last week it is crazy how quickly she changes. She is so strong and can basically hold her head in place. Plus during tummy time on the boppy she often tries to head dive (by pushing off her feet) over the boppy. She is following everything with her eyes. This poses a problem when it is time to rock her and she stops falling asleep because something has caught her eye. We have even gotten just a few smiles. They are rare but so cute when it happens. She has recently started to outgrow her newborn outfits. We have started wearing items from our 0-3 months drawer. They are still just a little big but better than the newborn outfit that cuts into her legs that are getting so chunky! Her eyes are lightening up to a lighter blue. We are curious to see what color they end up being, brighter blue like Marks or more greener blue like mine. If her looks are any indication (looking just like her Daddy) they will be like Mark's. She started napping in her crib this week. She looks so little in it. This only works when she is completely ready to go down for a nap. If she isnt we have crying. Where with the pak-n-play we could put the vibration on and she would fall asleep. No can do with the crib. She is still eating about every 3 hours, and at night about every 4. She is awake a lot more time during the day after she eats and looks around at everything. We are still fighting the going down for a nap when she is tired due to the lack of her ability to self sooth. Still no paci or fingers. Although she does get her hands in her mouth a lot more these days, if she would just leave them there she would feel sooo much better. She LOVES being outside though. When in doubt we take her outside.
This past week Grandma Nolder came to visit us. There was lots of snuggling from her. She came over for lunch every day and we even got a couple of dinners together. Christine even came down from Austin on Saturday to visit. Our little Mallory certainly has lots of people to love on her.
