It was a cold week here in South Texas. We stayed all bundled up all week and then Friday we actually had snow. We had a thin layer of ice under the snow so ALL of the major highways and roads were closed until noon. Mark and I both had to go in just for a little bit. But the morning we stayed in our warm snugly clothes and watched the kids in the neighborhood try and make snow balls and snow angels. Mallory didn't seem to notice that it was snow she just watched the kids play. She is mesmerized by other children. They capture and hold her attention.

Saturday night my parents, Tiff, JC, Mark & I went to the Rodeo. We walked around the fairgrounds and ate junk food. Then we went in to watch the rodeo. The cowboys really are talented and it is so interesting to watch. Our family friend Leah watched Mallory for the night. I think it went well. At least there were no major melt downs so I call that success.

The new things around our house this week are that Mallory is pulling up on low level items. She loves our lowest stair and crawls over to it, pulls up to her knees, and then her feet. She has even figured out how to lift one hand up at a time and get back to her sitting position. She also pulls up to her feet on her musical play board and her stuffed froggy chair. She also started babbling this week. It is very different from her chatter before. It is soft and very cute. It is like she is "talking" to her toys. Her new favorite toys are her foam puzzles. She likes them because they feel good when she chews on them and her little teeth. She found her teeth with her tongue also. The tip of her tongue was red from where she was messing with her teeth all day one day. We thought it was funny.
