Mallory started with Ms Jesse, her weekday sitter, this week. She goes to Ms Jesse at 7:30 and then gets picked up by her Nana at 4:30 ish. She seems to have settled in just fine with her. Ms Jesse starts her day with snuggles right out of the car seat and naps her swaddled up in the swing. She gets to play all day and Jesse says that she loves watching the 4 other little boys that are there. She adjusted well as far as I can tell. I adjusted fine as well. I was pretty proud of myself, I only called once on the first day. Jesse is very sweet to her and I know we have found the perfect sitter for her.
In other news Mark and I went to Port Aransas this weekend with only Bella. Mallory stayed with her Nana and Pop Pop. We had a wonderful time. We ate seafood, walked on the beach, swam with Bella, sat on the beach, and even slept in! It was wonderful to relax together. Bella enjoyed the beach as well, she had never been. She loved swimming and laying on the cool sand. She even chased some sea gulls.
Mallory had a good time with her Nana & Pop Pop. They talked to her, went running errands, she even got to take a bath with Hailey. She did great for them though and slept right through the night until 7:30 both mornings. It is good to know she doesn't care where she sleeps as long as she is swaddled. We sent the blanket with her and my parents said it worked like a charm. They even got to witness her newest "thing". After she eats and you put her down every night this week she has been talking in her bed. It is very sweet. I didn't do as well with the overnight stay as with the sitter. I called twice a day, and texted often I must admit, but my mom was very sweet and would give me an update and she sent pictures all day long (probably hoping to keep me from calling too much)Needless to say we had a great time but we missed her terribly. We hurried home to her on Sunday and smothered her in kisses.
